When there's proof it's too late

Yesterday I was reflecting on my father's influence in my life and something dawned on me.

In life you can produce 1 of 2 things:

Reasons or Results.

And we all know Reasons don't count. You can come up with all sorts of reasons why you can't do something. You can even go around telling people what you used to be able to do.

Doesn't matter.

All that matters is the results you can still produce.

And that's all I've ever seen from him: Results.

No excuses, no story, no blaming others.

There's a saying that goes: "When there's proof it's too late".

In other words, do what you have to do and when it's done let everybody else wonder how you did it.

This way you don't have to lie, back pedal, lose face, or make up excuses why you didn't follow through on that thing you said you were going to do.

Keep most of your goals secret, that way, if you catch yourself not following through on some of them you only have to answer to one person: Yourself.

You want to lose weight? Get out there and make it happen.

You want to quit smoking? Decide today: "No more!"

Unhappy with your life? Change it for the better.

Feel like you were meant for more than this? I hear ya.

Stay on the path of Self-Mastery.
