Can you live by this?

"Following through on a decision long after the excitement and the emotion of the moment has passed." ~ Cavett Robert

How many people would be happier and feel fulfilled if the above statement was followed to a "T".

It's easy to get excited to do something but who possesses the determination and character to actually follow through on it?

Take new year resolutions.

Everybody has one (or some).

But how many have been following through on the resolutions of January 2010 well into December 2010?

That would be an interesting statistic to look at.

My father always encouraged me and my family to write goals before January 1st and I really enjoy doing that.

The part that most people don't get is: If you write your goals down in January and don't look at them until next January, and expect those goals and resolutions to become a reality, it's just not going to happen.

Your goal book is your attack plan.

And goals change all the time throughout the course of a month or during the year.

Where you are versus where you want to go is ever-changing and adjustments need to be made constantly.

Set up the rules so YOU win.

I like the saying: "under promise but over deliver"

Set easy to attain goals and build momentum from there.

Success creates confidence. Confidence creates activity. Activity creates habits. Habits create results. Results are success. Success creates confidence...

Keep that in mind for next year.

Make mastering yourself and martial arts a priority in 2011. Here are lots of ways to help you do that.
