About mixed martial arts Pro Fighter Julien Leblanc

One of our soon to be Pro Fighters, Julien Leblanc talks about (in French) his experience training with the Patenaude Team, what it takes to succeed in your training and how he got to be where he's at in MMA.

Julien has accomplished alot in the past 5 years. He literally could not do one single push-up when he started.

He had low self-confidence.

And was overweight.

Now, he's one of our top competitors, he's undefeated and he's making his Pro debut in September.

Julien's story isn't an isolated incident.

You too can make a positive change in your life by joining our team. All that is required is effort, perseverance and commitment.

Get started today with a free 7 day pass.

Cung Le Teaser Fight Camp 2011

As you might already know Cung uses Sanshou techniques to dominate his opponents.

Sanshou means "Free Hand" or traditionally, Sparring is called Sanda which means "Free Fighting". It's a mixture of various Kung-Fu styles rolled into one. Kinda like how the Soviets created their Sambo or how MMA has evolved in North America.

Naturally, Kung-Fu practitioners gravitate towards Cung because of the connection.

And we’re not any different.

We’ve been following Cung’s career for a long time and always appreciated how well he applied the principles of Kung-Fu in competitions.

That said, when the opportunity presented itself to train privately and have him come down as a guest of honour at our annual Fight Camp, we couldn’t pass it up.

With Cung’s help we’ll be training and preparing our fighters for national level competitions and getting them ready for the Canadian Olympic Team try-outs for Sanshou.

Click here to view a teaser video of our Fight camp with Cung Le in action.

Apart from Cung’s awesome skill, what impressed me the most about him is; he’s one of the most down to earth guys I’ve ever met. A true martial artist.

Friendship Always.

Cung Le Fight Camp 2011

Had a blast with Cung.

Here are some pictures from the event.

If you're thinking of getting involved in Sanshou and Martial Arts in one of our schools in the Ottawa-Montreal-Toronto Area follow this link to get started.

Sanshou is a dynamic sport and visually entertaining.

Cung Le Fighter

Similar to Kickboxing, Sanshou matches also include Throwing, Sweeping and Take Down techniques.

Cung Le vs Wanderlei Silva

We'll be rooting for him in his upcoming match against Wanderlei Silva.

Cung Le isn't just a fighter. He holds very strong traditional values of honor, respect and dedication. It's rare to see this kind of balance in today's fighters.

We're looking forward to continuing our work with him in the future.

Cung Le in Casselman, Ontario

We're pleased to announce a special guest appearance at our 2011 Fight Camp.

Last year we had world renowned Grappler, Gokor Chivichyan.

This year we have World Sanshou Champion and Strikeforce Middle Weight Champion, Cung Le to head the event.

Cung Le Fight Camp

The main focus is to stay standing up. Punching, Kicking, Clinching, Throwing, Take Downs and Sweeps make up the sport. It's very exciting to watch compared to other types of events.

And Cung Le has made a name for himself doing it.

Fight Night Highlights

If you're interested in seeing some of the Fight Highlights from our Fight Night this Saturday I've just uploaded the video.

Every fighter showed a lot of heart and they didn't disappoint.

I can just imagine the level of skill they will have in the years to come if they keep participating in these events. For some it was their first time and honestly after watching the video it didn't seem like it!

You can find it here on the main page of the Fang Shen Do Website.

Scroll down a bit on the right you'll see FSD on Youtube, you can't miss it.

Master Yourself,

Sibok M
